Jay-Z PLUS Eminem at Comerica Park Sept. 2?
That is my DREAM show. My favorite lyricist and one of the rappers that influenced me to write..yes I'm a stan for both and yes I'm perfectly ok with that.

Excuse Me Miss - Jay-Z
I am a Jay-Z fan.
Simple, non-interesting statement, but what's interesting is that Jay-Z and his other half, Beyoncé, are probably one of the most powerful couples in Hollywood, that hardly acknowledge they're even together. We all watched at the Grammy's as Queen Bey thanked her husband and he reacted in an "Are you sh*tting me?" manner when the camera panned to him. Well shortly after Valentine's Day, Mr. Carter was on a BBC show hosted by Jonathan Ross and lightly touches on what him and his Bonnie did for Valentine's Day and other small things in their relationship, including how she stole the "Uh-Oh" dance from him. It's an entertaining little bit, check it out.

Yay or Nay: Playground - J. Cole
Maybe you know J. Cole as the first artist signed to Jay-Z's label Roc Nation. This guy's buzz has been brewing for quite some while. He was featured on Jay-Z's 'Blueprint 3' album and Wale's 'Attention Deficit' album and he's rumored to be going on tour with Jay-Z and Young Jeezy this year. Also, from the way I understand it, J. Cole's first album is to be released some time this year. I'm not sure how I feel about J. Cole yet, but I wanted to know what you all thought. Recently a song of his released called "Playground." No idea if it's for a mixtape or his upcoming album (?), but it's here. So Yay or Nay: "Playground" - J. Cole

H to the Izzo - Jay-Z
Last night Jay-Z started his Blueprint 3 tour with a 9/11 benefit concert in Madison Square Garden. Along with the proceeds going to families of victims, Jay-Z brought along special guests, including Pharrell, John Mayer and his wife Beyoncé. Missed it? That's ok..Peep the full concert below.

Run This Town - Jay-Z feat. Rihanna & K. West
I hate the song Run This Town..like a lot..mostly because of Rihanna's yodeling, but the track list for Blueprint 3 was recently leaked online. It's an album full of features, but I am still anticipating it's release. What do you think about this album?

Bonnie and Clyde '03 - Jay-Z feat. Beyoncé
I'm over on Necole Bitchie's blog and I saw this picture and freaking loved everything about it. Mr. & Mrs. S. Carter were spotted shopping in New York. I'm loving Beyoncé's bright yellow Yves Saint Laurent "Tribute" platforms..(I may not show it but I KNOW brands). Anyway, how Classic status is this picture? You would think it was for an ad of some sort, but this is just them. They are indeed the sugar honey iced tea.

♪ At Rock The Bells, Outkast member Big Boi debuted some of his new music from his up and coming album.
Well, according to reports by XXL, Big Boi has left Jive Records and will be joining the Def Jam roster. Apparently, Big Boi became annoyed with the several pushbacks made on his album Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. All the i's haven't been dotted nor have all the t's been crossed, but pretty soon Big Boi will be BACK with his former boss LA Reid (Reid signed Outkast to LaFace Records back in the day). Outkast is also scheduled to release a new album in the upcoming year.
♪ Tony Yayo thinks The Game is making a big mistake my dissing Jay-Z. The G-Unit rapper told MTV:
Don't know what's going down (you may not have been to Juan's blog lately) but The Game dissed Jay-Z and Mrs. Knowles-Carter (Beyoncé for the slower ones) at a concert in Madrid because he was upset that Jay had supposedly said something about him in a song. This beef is nothing new and has been going on for a few years and at a recent concert Hov shut The Game down with one line at his July 7th show in Chicago:
"I ain't talking about gossip, I ain't talking about Game, I ain't talking about Jimmy, I ain't talking about Dame."
♪ It's no secret that a few rappers have ghostwriters, but did you expect Snoop Dogg to say he had one (or several)? Yup.
Snoop told XXL that for his upcoming project, Malice in Wonderland, he was going to speaking through the mouths of babes.
Honestly, I can't help but wonder about some of his past projects. To me rappers and writers go together like oil and vinegar, they don't mix. However, I'm sure there are loads of rappers with ghostwriters...I think I'd rather not know.
♪ T.I.'s Re-release of Paper Trail has been shelved. According to MTV, Paper Trail: Case Closed, will never be released. However according to an Atlantic rep the additional tracks will be released digitally, probably via iTunes. Yay or Nay: Death of Auto-Tune - Jay-Z

If you recall, I posted that Jay-Z was doing this entire album sans auto-tune, so what better way to share your feelings about the annoying trend than with a buzz single? The Blueprint 3 is due in stores this fall and from what's been floating around Hov has been getting it in, in the studio. If I judged this song I'd say it's Kingdom Come's "30 is the new 20" with the lovely swag of American Gangster, and the lyrical style of "Moment of Clarity." May not make sense to some of you but it does to me!

Know What i"m Talking About - Gucci Mane

♫ RZA (yep from the Wu-Tang Clan) is planning a remake of The Last Dragon ( a 1985 Bruce Lee film). Nothing wrong with that, but he wants both Chris Brown and Rihanna to have roles in the film. Awkward Much?
♫ Official News on the Hova front, Jay-Z's album will be released on the 8th anniversary of The Blueprint..which is September 11, 2009 (for all the non-super-fans). Yes, some of the information leaked yesterday, but quality beats delivery with me and I had to assure the accuracy with this (basically info from blogs equal no-no). ANYWAY, this is a big deal, it's his first album with Warner Music Group. Before you jump ahead, that's the other Hov news I have for you, Jay-Z signs on for The Blueprint 3 with WMG/Atlantic, but Roc Nation (his label with Live Nation) goes through Epic. Though this seems complicated, it's all for distribution purposes because supposedly TB3 (my nickname for it) will be distributed through Roc Nation as well. Jay-Z is a business, man; I expect everything to roll through smoothly.
♫ There were rumors floating around that Mos Def had pushed back the release of "Estatic" until August but according to an e-mail Mos Def's label will be releasing the album on time June 9 (THIS TUESDAY), and beginning THIS Saturday, the album will be available for listen on his MySpace page. One track that has my heart jumping rope is the Talib Kweli/Mos Def (Black Star) collab on the Dilla (sidebar: "Jay $tay Paid" released this week, cop that!) beat "History" check it below.♫ Weezy F. Baby says that "Rebirth" is finally ready for release. Production has finally been completed on the album (which has been pushed back 3 times already). Lil' Waye spoke with MTV briefly at the MTV Movie Awards and naturally was questioned about expectaitons:
Expect great music. That's all I ever want them to expect from me. I wanted to grow and show my growth as well. It's a difference from when you go in a room and come out and you're better and everyone says, 'How did you do that?' So with this album, I wanted everyone to see my growing pains.
I have never been anxious for a Wayne album...and nothing has changed, this shall be interesting though.

Umbrella (rmx) - Rihanna feat. Jay-Z & Chris Brown

♫ Has Jay-Z been in every one of my news updates? If you remember Hov just got out of his contract with Def Jam and according to Billboard, he is close to inking a deal with Epic Records. It is said that the deal is 95% complete and will combine Jay-Z's RocNation releases with Epic for distrbution purposes. There were rumors swirling that Mr. Beyonce was going to make the switch to Columbia *sidebar: Epic and Columbia are both under Sony BMG* because of his close ties with the label and the fact that Beyonce is signed to them. So, hopefully it's smooth sailing for Mr. Carter so "The Blueprint 3" can hurry and drop (this Anti-auto-tune thing has me anxious!)

♫ Many celebrities have Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and of course YouTube accounts. There is a new trend among them called livestreaming, it's a way of recording so that the viewer gets to see what they're doing. Why am I telling you this? Well Chris Brown (haven't heard that name in a while) and Bow Wow (hahahahaha) were live-streaming together from Shaq (yes, that Shaq) crib. Still wondering why this is news? Well during the stream (turned YouTube vid) Chris Brown actually speaks and says "I ain't a monster," you don't have to be a super-genius to figure out what he's referring to. He does go on to talk about his new album that's supposed to be released sometime this year and thanks his "real" fans for sticking by him.
I don't do all this talking on the thing, this is just some new stuff I'm doing. I just wanna say 'what's up?,' because I ain't been out there in a minute. But the new album is gonna be coming soon. We working on it right now. It's called Graffiti. It's got everything on it, so y'all be ready for that. I'm about to drop a single this summer for y'all. We ain't going nowhere. Everybody that's haters, they just been haters. All my real fans, I love you. I ain't a monster.[grazie MTV for transcribing ;-) ]

♫Speaking of Chris Breezy, his ex-breezy Rihanna may have to appear in court. Last Month, Brown's lawyer attempted to have the case dismissed due to the fact that evidence had been leaked online, but the judged denied his request. According to the Associated Press, Rihanna's lawyer said he will likely receive a subpoena for the singer to testify in a preliminary hearing June 22. If this does happen Rihanna could be subject to cross-examination by Brown's lawyer. *could possibly be the most interesting court case since O.J.'s*
